The only time our generators will need to be grounded is if you will be plugging the generator directly into an electrical panel.
How often should the oil be changed?
The oil should be changed about every 100 hours of operation starting from the first time you turn your rental on.
Can these generators be used during rough weather?
The only limit to these generators is to never use them indoors or directly in wet weather conditions. Windy or hot weather will not limit your generator use.
What type of gas should be used with these generators?
Unleaded gasoline with a minimum 87 octane rating is highly recommended.
What do I do if the gasoline has gone stale?
The solution would be to remove the stale gasoline by first turning the shut off valve off, disconnecting the fuel line, draining the gas, and then cleaning the carburetor. If you have any questions on this process please contact us.
Who is responsible for maintenance of the generator?
For the duration of your rental, the maintenance of the generator such as oil changes and refilling gasoline is your responsibility.
Why is the generator sputtering or running rough?
Possible reasons can be that the generator is low on gas, the air filter needs to be cleaned or changed, or the valve was not set properly. If after checking these parts of the generator and the appliance is still sputtering, please contact us.
What do I do if the generator won’t start or won’t produce power?
Please contact us as soon as an issue involving start up or lack of power despite the generator already being activated. Depending on the issue we can either give you step-by-step instructions if it only requires a quick fix or we will swap out your generator with a different model.
What can we use to secure the lights in windy conditions?
Sandbags can be easily used to keep our towers grounded in the toughest work conditions.
